Line 6 HX One Effects Pedal

The Line 6 HX One puts a single, deep effects engine in a pedal small enough to squeeze onto almost any board. Pick any one of more than 250 effects drawn from the Helix and HX family – drives, fuzzes, delays, reverbs, modulation, pitch, filters and more – and it becomes that pedal, with the same HX modeling that captures how vintage circuits like germanium fuzzes and bucket-brigade delays actually behave.

Editing is quick: the OLED screen shows the current effect and three parameters, and the three knobs under it adjust them directly, with page buttons for anything deeper. A dedicated effect knob scrolls the full list or jumps by category, and the 128 onboard presets let you save your favourite settings and recall them from the pedal or over MIDI.

The second footswitch does double duty as tap tempo and Flux. Flux sweeps several parameters at once over a set time with a single press – think a delay that swells into self-oscillation, a pitch dive, or a rotary speaker ramping up – for movement a regular stompbox cannot do.

Stereo inputs and outputs let it sit in a stereo rig or alongside another modeler, adjustable input impedance helps it react like a vintage pedal to your pickups, and you can choose true bypass or buffered bypass. Add an expression pedal or a pair of footswitches, control it from 5-pin or USB MIDI, and sync it to MIDI clock.
