Rental FAQ

Should I rent or purchase? With our buy back program, if you purchase the instrument and wish to return it, we will refund what you paid, less the monthly rental fee for how long you have had the instrument plus applicable taxes. If you return your instrument, you will only be out of pocket what you would have paid in rent for the same period of time. If you choose our rent to own program, 100% of your rental credit goes towards the rent-to-own price. We will provide a 25% discount off of the remaining balance if you decide to buy out your instrument at any time throughout the rental term. If your child will be in music for two years or more, your best investment is our Buy Back Program.

Can I exchange my instrument?
              Yes! You can exchange your instrument and we will move over your rental credit from the previous instrument. If the instrument you are exchanging to is of lesser value, we will calculate the rental rate of the lesser valued instrument based on the amount of time you have rented the instrument.

What happens if the instrument is stolen?
              If you purchased insurance, we require a police report, a $100 deductible and Tapestry Music Ltd. will replace the instrument.

What happens if my instrument stops working?
              Tapestry Music has a full service repair shop offering repairs on all of their instruments. If you purchase insurance, we will repair your instrument free of charge for any accidental damage.  If you are in a district not near Tapestry Music, we will exchange your instrument so that your child does not miss classes.  If you opt out of the optional insurance, our repair costs start at $25 and go up from there.

What happens if my instrument is destroyed or not repairable?
              Don’t leave your instrument where someone can drive over it (it’s happened!). If you instrument gets mangled beyond repair and you have our insurance we charge a $100 deductible or 10% of the value of the "Rent to Own Price" (whichever is higher) and replace the instrument. If you don’t have our insurance the instrument value will be payable.

On  orders over $149

We don't charge shipping or handling on orders over $149 (before tax and shipping calculation). There are a few reasonable exceptions like very large or heavy items as well as shipping to remote areas.



Exchange or return for full refund items purchased within 30 days if in unused new condition and in original packaging.
