The Taylor 414ce Next Generation represents a massive leap forward for Taylor's iconic flagship Grand Auditorium workhorse. This updated model marks a major shift by pairing a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering deep, warm lows, sparkling bell-like highs, and a slightly scooped midrange that cuts perfectly through any mix. Built for the modern performing musician, the Next Generation model introduces the innovative Long-Tenon Action Control Neck™, which allows you to make precise, on-the-fly string height adjustments directly through the soundhole. This eliminates the need for invasive neck resets down the road while drastically improving vibration transfer for a warmer, richer acoustic response.

Inside the body, Taylor has evolved its internal architecture with Scalloped V-Class Bracing. By carving out mass between the soundhole and bridge plate, the solid spruce top flexes more freely, unlocking a thicker midrange and deeper resonance while keeping the signature volume, sustain, and perfect intonation of V-Class design. For live performances, the guitar moves away from the older ES2 electronics in favour of the all-new Claria System. This under-saddle piezo design features a soundhole-mounted preamp with an intuitive Mid-Contour knob, giving you surgical control over your midrange frequencies on stage. Visually, the guitar is elevated with stunning faux pearl Weathervane fingerboard inlays, an Italian acrylic rosette, a vintage-inspired firestripe pickguard, and a full gloss-finished body.
