Wampler TCD The Compulsion Drive Distortion Pedal
Description
The Wampler Compulsion Drive (tcd) is Brian Wampler's take on one of the most famous distortion circuits in pedal history. It has the roar, sparkle and touch sensitivity players love about the original, with far more control over the final sound.
The Gain control runs from edge-of-breakup crunch to full distortion, and a real three-band EQ (Bass, Mids, Treble) lets you shape it from tight and focused to wide open. The Mode switch picks between a traditional clipping structure and a harder-hitting, more tube-like voice built on cascaded MOSFET gain stages. Inside, two DIP switches add classic circuit variations: Fat for extra low end, and Diode for a tighter, more saturated distortion. Back off your guitar's volume and it cleans up nicely; dig in and it opens up like a cranked amp.
