Yamaha YFL382H Intermediate Flute
Description
The Yamaha YFL-382H Intermediate Flute is an open-hole, B-footjoint flute with an in-line G key system, designed for advancing players seeking enhanced tonal quality and refined playability. It features a sterling silver headjoint with a silver-plated body and keys, offering a blend of warm, rich tone and durable construction.
- Sterling Silver Headjoint: The headjoint is crafted from 92.5% pure sterling silver, providing a pure, light, and resonant tone with a wide dynamic range. It features the "CY cut" headjoint design, which has a double flare taper and undercut embouchure hole for an excellent response and accurate intonation.
- B-Footjoint with Gizmo Key: The B-footjoint extends the flute's lower range by a half-step, allowing the player to play down to a low B and improves intonation in the higher register.. It also includes a "gizmo key," which helps facilitate the production of the fourth-octave C.
- Open-Hole Keys (French Style): The open-hole design allows for greater control over the tone and intonation, which is preferred by intermediate and advanced players. Key plugs are included to help beginners adapt.
- In-Line G Key System: This model features the traditional in-line G configuration, where all the tone holes are in a straight row.
- Pointed Key Arms: The A#, F#, and other non-fingered keys feature French-style pointed key arms, a design element inspired by professional flutes that adds strength and a refined visual aesthetic.
- Durable Construction: The body and keys are made from durable, silver-plated nickel silver, while neoprene bumpers (more durable than cork) and stainless steel springs contribute to its longevity and mechanical precision.
- Ergonomic Design: The key shapes and placement are ergonomically designed for a comfortable, natural-feeling performance, with alignment marks on the footjoint to assist with proper assembly.
