Taylor GS Mini-e Mahogany Acoustic Electric Guitar with Gig Bag
Description
Taylor's GS Mini changed what players expect from a small-body guitar, and the Mini-e Mahogany version adds a solid mahogany top and onboard electronics to the formula. The scaled-down Grand Symphony body sits comfortably on a couch, fits in an overhead bin, and throws more volume than its size suggests — a 23-1/2" scale length keeps string tension manageable without sacrificing projection. The solid mahogany top delivers a warm, focused midrange with strong fundamentals and a dry attack that fingerstyle players and singer-songwriters reach for instinctively. Layered sapele back and sides add durability for travel while reinforcing the guitar's punchy, woody tone. With ES-B electronics and a built-in digital chromatic tuner, the Mini-e Mahogany plugs straight into an amp or PA without needing external gear. It ships with a Taylor structured gig bag.
Big sound from a small body
The GS Mini isn't a toy guitar or a compromise — it's a seriously capable instrument that happens to be portable. Taylor's GS Mini bracing pattern with relief rout lets the solid mahogany top move freely for its size, producing midrange punch and projection that fills a room during practice, jam sessions, or small gigs. The 23-1/2" scale length reduces string tension compared to a full-size guitar, which makes fretting easier and bending more expressive — but with .013-.056 medium-gauge strings, the Mini-e Mahogany still has the presence to hold its own alongside full-size instruments.
Plug in and play — ES-B electronics with built-in tuner
The ES-B pickup system mounts cleanly under the saddle and includes a preamp with volume and tone controls plus a digital chromatic tuner with an LED display built right into the upper bout. Hit the tuner button, tune silently on stage, and switch back to playing — no clip-on tuner to lose, no phone app to fumble with. The system runs on a single CR2032 battery, and the tuner's LED doubles as a low-battery indicator so you're never caught off guard mid-set.
