Shipping and Pricing Information
For online purchases Canada/USA customers may use PayPal, Visa or MasterCard. Paypal is our online credit card processor. For international purchases we only accept PayPal and only from a verified address.
Canada Shipping: We ship via Canada Post & Purolator. Most Canadian orders over $199.00 receive free shipping. We reserve the right to charge shipping costs on heavy or large items such as amplifiers, speaker cabinets, guitars, etc. and will contact you regarding these situations.
USA, International Shipping: Shipping charges are calculated as a percentage of your purchase. We only want to charge what your order costs us to ship so if the checkout calculates a shipping charge which is too high we will refund the difference. In cases where shipping charged is not enough to cover the actual cost of shipping, we may need to contact you to collect the additional shipping cost. Please contact us if you would like a quote.
Sales Taxes: GST (5%) will be added on all Canadian orders. PST+GST (12%) will be added to B.C. purchases only (books are PST exempt but the 5% GST is applicable). There is no tax on USA or International orders.
Online Checkout Procedures
We accept Visa, MasterCard or PayPal. We accept Amex in-store only. For oversea/international orders we only accept PayPal from verified accounts.
Some prices are not listed on our website due to supplier restrictions. To inquire about a price and availability, simply call us 1-888-347-7480 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. And of course you can always order by phone if you don't wish to order online.
We have a 10 day return policy for items purchased in-store and a 15 day return policy on items purchased online or by phone. We must be contacted for a return authorization before returning any item. Items must be returned in new condition in original packaging.
Sale or Clearance items are FINAL SALE and are not returnable
We reserve the right to determine if a returned item is defective and will be returned if not.
All NEW items returned (with authorization) must be in BRAND NEW condition with zero signs of wear or use and must be returned in the original packaging with ALL materials (warranty cards, plastic, pouches, manuals etc.) If item is received in subpar condition a 25% restocking fee will be charged.
Any refunds will be in the form of a store credit and will be issued less our original shipping cost (including free shipping items). Buyer is responsible for any return shipping charges.
We are willing to consider trade-ins on items in our store. Our policy on trade-ins is as follows:
We will only consider trade-ins from customers shopping in-store where we can physically inpect the item. We do not accept trades from outside our local area.
Trade-ins are accepted solely at our discretion and we are under no obligation to accept trade-ins.
We have a 10 day return policy for items purchased in-store and a 14 day return policy on items purchased online or by phone. We must be contacted for a return authorization before returning any item. Items must be returned in new condition in original packaging. Pedals attached with velcro will not be accepted for return. A refund will be issued less our original shipping cost (including free shipping items). Buyer is responsible for any return shipping charges.
Band and String Rental Insurance
We offer in-house insurance coverage for band and string instrument rentals.
a) Insurance is optional and covers accidental damage, theft and fire.
b) Insurance does not cover loss, abuse or neglect. Repeated damage, cases being sat on or being dragged on the ground will void insurance.
c) Determination of the cause of damage will be made solely by Tapestry Music Ltd.
d) Insurance is invalid if instrument is taken outside of British Columbia.
e) If the instrument is stolen, the Lessee must provide a copy of a police report or file number as to the circumstances of the theft.
f) If the instrument is damaged beyond repair, the instrument must be returned to Tapestry Music for evaluation and determination of the insurance claim.
g) For damage beyond repair or a theft claim, a deductible of $100 shall be paid by the Lessee to replace the instrument with another instrument of equal value and age. There is no deductible applicable for standard repairs under our insurance coverage.
h) Insurance rates are:
$3.00 monthly - Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Snare Drum, Bell Kit, Violin, Viola.
$5.00 monthly – Saxophone, French Horn, Euphonium, Baritone, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Cello, Digital Piano.
i) Insurance is not available for purchased instruments under our purchase/buy back program or for instruments bought out of the rental contract.
